Stoic Gauntlet: Remind Yourself - Don't Get Too Attached To Your Comforts

We were whining Friday because we went six hours without power after early a.m. severe storms.

Then we had another line of severe storms come through at 8 p.m. yesterday. We lost a three-story tall aspen and Several major maple branches. And had no power for another 14 hours. So that was a good Stoic smack to the head!

(I'm looking at the weather forecast for more storms tonight and shouting out to the furies: no need for another smack to head, I get the point!)

All right, I've been stoic for a month. But today my husband hooked up our heat pump, and we have climate control in the house. It's So Darn Good.

Humidity inside is down to 83% and dropping.

I can live without it. I fully appreciate it. Man, it's good to have it!
