111 days until the end of the year.
« on: September 11, 2015, 06:31:33 AM »
Here is the gauntlet I am throwing down for myself:
(1) walk 11,111 steps per day - some days I'm doing 1/10 of that :-(
(2) lose 11 pounds... That may be easy if I do the first item;
(3) apply for grad school - which would be starting in January;
(4) finish book I started writing;
(5) finish those damn honey-do items that I paid for but didn't do yet! This is an anti-lazy item.
(6) declutter as much as possible - started on that one and made $500 about a week ago!

The first 4 are easy to measure. The others will be measured by a feeling of accomplishment alone.

I am a procrastinator and sometimes won't start something like the above items because it's not the right day (like the first of the month, or a Monday... There is always an excuse, right?  So 111 seemed like a good reason to start.  I'm 1/2 way to today's walking goal by 8:30 am

If you have taken the GRE already and the program does not require any portfolio, then applying the grad school is super easy. Fill it out, write out, request transcripts - get it all done TODAY. Then don't submit it; re-read it TOMORROW or next week before submitting.

The only thing easier is applying for a marriage license.  ;)

Cool gauntlet - I'm in:)

1. Stick to the savings plan: 10K plus now up to 15K by December 16, 2015
2. Do something about that atrocious T-Mobile bill - bring it down this month!
3. Update my photo gallery - website in time for holiday shopping. Do something every month to improve sales.
4. Keep learning about finance and investments and ways to make or save money.
5. De-clutter - 5 more boxes of papers, bedroom closets, finish pantry - only one shelf left, yay me:)
6. Tackle the shed - the garden and the car port. Start with shed this month!

Plus, there are two more important money issues I have to tackle which will bring in extra money, but I keep putting them off, because I feel totally overwhelmed by them - I can do this - I will do this..... somebody help me:)

Love it!  Here are mine:
1. Lose 10lbs
2. Hike average of 8mi/ week (trying to build elevation endurance)
3. Complete the remaining 20 books on my Goodreads list (This is my anti-distraction item)
4. Cut grocery budget by 10%

I would like to join you for challenges number 1, 2 and 6.  I will start wearing my step counter tomorrow (am at work and left it at home this morning).
