Thank you @Raenia !

My goals for November, some carry over/continued and some new.

  • Focus goal: Continue to unpack and settle in. Once the painter is done: Hang pictures.
  • Important: Shape up at work. At least four pomodoros/work day. I need to get back on track.
  • Important: Better sleep. Try to be in bed by 10pm, lights out at 10.30 pm when working the next day. Try to go to bed early and rise early also during weekends.
  • Loose 1.5 kilos. I gained several kilos during the stressful months before the divorce and move. I eat a lot when I am stressed. I lost 3 kilos pretty easily in Oct, now I think it will be a bit harder.
  • Some type of movement every day, and tracking it. At least yoga at home and walking. Preferrably also strength at home, short program every day.
  • Set up finances for the future and a renovation plan. Started in Oct, but still work to do.
  • Go swimming, either on my own or practice w/teacher at least two times.
  • Go to practice at least four times (if healthy).
  • Start researching getting a tattoo.
  • Getting started w/new gardening.
  • Plan rest of 2020 + 2021 in Trello (timings, kids, exercise, eating, friends and relatives, work etc).
  • Continuous goals: Keep up w/Italian, walking, yoga, keyboard writing, keeping in touch w/friends and parents, up to date w/finances at least once /week.

1.  Cook more at home.  I am a good cook, dang it!

2.  Only buy clothes that fit and look flattering.

3.  Use moisturizer on my dry skin as winter approaches so that it doesn’t get too uncomfortable.  I am usually reacting to this vice being proactive.  Now is the time to moisturize before the air in my home and at work gets dry.

@Raenia seems like mixed results so far. Keep on keeping on!
I am so tired from the never ending painting and the dust and dirt and mess that some with it, so I have made very little progress in November. However, the painter tells me he will be done on Friday (two more days). And I actually have my kitchen back since yesterday evening so maybe I should believe him.
It is 10.30pm and I will not write an update now, but hope to do so tomorrow when I am at the computer.

My goal this month is just to get my shit back on the path -- it wandered off into the woods somewhere unattended at the end of October/the first week of November, due to the combo of election + work shenanigans.

1. Normal running schedule
2. Normal walking schedule
3. Return to better using-up-our-veg habits
4. Keep knitting
5. Finish three books

Since last Friday, at least, I've been on track, and I finished a book over the weekend!

A friend took me to lunch yesterday and I happily ate my leftovers for dinner.  On the clothes front, it’s been unseasonably warm here but I’ve ordered 2 sweaters for the future.  I’m prepared to try them on and quickly return them if they do not workout.  I find that thrift store cardigan sweaters can be too stretched out to fit me right so I’m buying new.  I also found a good hand cream, OKeefes Night Repair, that I’ve been using since Sunday.  It’s sticky for a couple minutes then definitely absorbs and relieves the dry irritation around my nail area.

It's just over a week left, I will do a quick update.

Blue = good progress
Orange = at risk
Green = completed
Brown = will not happen due to Covid-19

Thank you @Raenia !

My goals for November, some carry over/continued and some new.

  • Focus goal: Continue to unpack and settle in. Once the painter is done: Hang pictures. It took a long time, and due to a water leak, the painting is not fully completed yet, it will happen early December at the earliest. I have unpacked a lot, I will do some more before end of November, but I will not put up anything on the walls yet, not before all furniture is in place.
  • Important: Shape up at work. At least four pomodoros/work day. I need to get back on track. Not good, way too tired most days.
  • Important: Better sleep. Try to be in bed by 10pm, lights out at 10.30 pm when working the next day. Try to go to bed early and rise early also during weekends. This is not happening, my discipline is bad.
  • Loose 1.5 kilos. I gained several kilos during the stressful months before the divorce and move. I eat a lot when I am stressed. I lost 3 kilos pretty easily in Oct, now I think it will be a bit harder.Started well, but not so good now.
  • Some type of movement every day, and tracking it. At least yoga at home and walking. Preferrably also strength at home, short program every day.  Not really...
  • Set up finances for the future and a renovation plan. Started in Oct, but still work to do. Working on this, made some more progress.
  • Go swimming, either on my own or practice w/teacher at least two times.
  • Go to practice at least four times (if healthy).
  • Start researching getting a tattoo. Yes, working on this, it will not happen any time soon though.
  • Getting started w/new gardening. Yes, made a lot of progress, but as always more to do. But feeling good about what I have done, took some effort.
  • Plan rest of 2020 + 2021 in Trello (timings, kids, exercise, eating, friends and relatives, work etc). Nothing yet, but plan to do this - looking forward to it.
  • Continuous goals: Keep up w/Italian, walking, yoga, keyboard writing, keeping in touch w/friends and parents, up to date w/finances at least once /week.

I love checking here and seeing everyone's goals and achievements thereof!

I am pretty good with all the self-care stuff like daily walking, yoga, eating well, make time for crafting, gardening, so:
I didn't list any goals for this month, but the biggest 3 hanging over my head have been:

1) Apply for a Horticulture course through my local TAFE for next year

2) Organise a quote for my ensuite renovation

and the biggest one, which I felt sick even thinking about:
3) Contact my son's Head of school teacher to discuss his lack of progress at school this year, and see how we can work together to make his Year 12 a better year. It has made me feel like a terrible parent to see him struggling and refusing any help, so I am stepping in to do what I can.

I bit the bullet and did all 3 this morning. Man, adulting is HARD!

I cooked myself pork chops and a baked sweet potato yesterday.  The pork chops were a bit tough—I tried cooking them in olive oil at a high-ish temp quickly in a skillet with seasoning on them.  The baked sweet potato came out perfect, and was a cheerful color.

My skin is feeling relatively moist for late November.  At 43 the skin on my face is evolving and my hair texture is changing.  I have good genes for which I am thankful.   :)

Since last Friday, at least, I've been on track, and I finished a book over the weekend!

I mostly kept to my normal running and walking schedule (successful except for last week, which between a heavy amount of work and Thanksgiving I just didn't even try). Our veg using has gone pretty well. I've knitted a bunch. I read two books. I will take this as mostly-success.

So late with this. It has been a tough month, have done some unpacking but mostly delayed due to continued painting, including the water damage....
I'm giving myself a pass for the month, as I have made a lot of progress with my apartment and day to day life.

Green = completed
Red = not completed
Brown = will not happen due to Covid-19

  • Focus goal: Continue to unpack and settle in. Once the painter is done: Hang pictures. It took a long time, and due to a water leak, the painting is not fully completed yet, it will happen early December at the earliest. I have unpacked a lot, but I will not put up anything on the walls yet, not before all furniture is in place.

  • Important: Better sleep. Try to be in bed by 10pm, lights out at 10.30 pm when working the next day. Try to go to bed early and rise early also during weekends. This has been very on and off, need to prioritize better.
  • Loose 1.5 kilos. I gained several kilos during the stressful months before the divorce and move. I eat a lot when I am stressed. I lost 3 kilos pretty easily in Oct, now I think it will be a bit harder. Lost by mid-month, and then they came back :-).
  • Some type of movement every day, and tracking it. At least yoga at home and walking. Preferrably also strength at home, short program every day.  Not really...
  • Set up finances for the future and a renovation plan. Started in Oct, but still work to do. Enough progress made, not completed yet.
Unfortunately not, even though I reall want to.
  • Continuous goals: Keep up w/Italian, walking, yoga, keyboard writing, keeping in touch w/friends and parents, up to date w/finances at least once /week.
