Daily writing in 2016
« on: December 28, 2015, 09:54:46 PM »
So I know there was a gauntlet for this in 2015, but I did not partake. I followed and did well with several others, but my goal of writing a chapter a month did not happen. At all.
I'm not one for new years resolutions, but hav been on a roll for a bit now and want to keep it up- along with anyone interested. Happy New Year fellow Mustachians!!!

Well, I don't think I can write every day, but I have made a resolution to finish my current novel this year (which is way overdue to my publisher. Oops).

Excellent!
I am finally working steadily on my first after extensive research.

So far so good. Writing is not forced, but consistent practice daily.

While reading a book MrMoneyMustache mentioned, The Power Of Habit, I started writing daily.
For years I've wanted to write but I wasn't able to do that consistently.
It was too hard, or that I thought I just don't know how to finish what I started.

So, after reading the book and gathering some tips from ZenHabits I started a spreadshit.
Each day I write down how many minutes I wrote.
I started 5-7 minutes a day. now sometimes I write for 15-20 minutes.
I don't count the times I'm re-writing.
