We did a longer walk today - still very tired after it, as I haven't got completely better, but definitely improving.

Walked 3.8km (2.4 miles) today.  But ate many baked goods.  Tomorrow will be lazier but less caloric.

Yesterday, I went for a walk in the park.  It had to be at least two miles if not more.  Today, I am may canoe for an hour. You can rent boats at the park.

It is time to get in shape.  The more I make it a point to move, the more I realize it has become essential.

I want to walk in Joonifloof's town!

I have had days of tummy troubles and haven't been doing much. Hopefully I will make it to zumba today.

Today I ran to work (7.5 miles ~1:15), then walked 4.4 miles at lunch, and will ride my bike home.

Exercise is not my current problem.  I ramped up from my pretty pathetic ~2 day a week bike commute to bike/run commuting every day over the course of a couple years, rain or shine.  The occasions that I do drive now feel stressful due to frequent stops, other drivers etc.

My problem is that I cannot out exercise my appetite.  My weight has been very steady at about 40 lbs above the "ideal" weight, and about 20 lbs above where I would like to be.  Soda and snacks at work are a crutch habit I haven't been able to shake for more than a couple weeks at a shot.  Ice cream is my cryptonite at home, and I become a sugar craving withdrawing addict if I don't have dessert.  I need to work on these areas, but I need to actually make it stick somehow.

Holy crap, moof, that's a ton of exercise!  I'm surprised you can't make the no-sugar stick more than a few weeks.  I find the first few days BRUTAL, then it progressively gets easier.  Seeing a little progress (in how clothes fit) gets addictive, too.

Walked 5.2km (3.25 miles) with the stroller, today.  I'll be keeping a written food-and-exercise notebook starting Monday.

Moor, this sounds exhausting.

Walking:
14 minutes
5 minutes
8 minutes
8 minutes
8 minutes

So around 45. But again, just commuting. Not real exercise. I'm exhausted. I think my hormones are all screwy, I have been slammed the past 2 periods with serious pms exhaustion. I am doing the healthy eat to live thing post cottage, which helps with pain and energy.

Today I popped in a step DVD. I love doing step. I held out for at least 15 mins before I could feel my legs going weak. I need to start timing myself.  This is at least 3 times this week I have done something.  Whoohooo.

Went for a really long walk in the park. Was going to canoe but changed my mind.  Didn't want dead arms today.  This make 4 or 5 times this week.

Hope everyone is hanging in there.

I'm in. For the first time in almost a year I stepped foot in my gym for day 1. It was embarrassing. It wasn't pretty. I struggled with almost no weight. It was nothing like 2015 when I ate dumbbells for breakfast. But I did it. And I feel "good tired" for the first time in a really long time. I want to make this a habit again, I owe it to myself.

We got stuck yesterday and had to spend quite a bit of time digging ourselves out.
I guess this qualifies as excercise. It included shoveling and ducking and walking around quite a bit.
We are both a bit sore today, so we have just been excercising our arms today, shoving treats in our mouths....
This will make for a good story, sometime!

moof, when I did (or even didn't, for that matter!) that level of activity, I too could not go without sugar infusions if I otherwise continued eating the same as I previously had. I had to add a bunch of protein and fat to eliminate the sugar need. Any chance your body is wanting the same, with that level of activity? Paleo resources are great because a lot of those folks are at your activity level.

It's boring, so I haven't been posting every day, but I HAVE been walking at least a half hour everyday, and sometimes a lot more than that.  If it's raining, or 30C, then I walk the mall.  Exercising my frugality muscle too, since I look, but don't buy.

Just light walking for errands: 1km yesterday, 2km today.

But back on the no booze, no junk food snacking.  I miss booze and junk food snacking.

Mind if I join in?

Bought a chin up bar the other day and decided to start following the Recommended Routine on the Body Weight fitness subreddit. I'm pretty pitiful at the moment (can't even do 5 pull ups), but grinding it out to get better.

Had to start getting up at 5:00 am to fit the workout into my day. The early rise is kicking my ass right now... Don't know how you morning people do it.

I've signed up to a 12 week exercise /weightloss challenege. It's huuuugely expensive, & most Mustachians would punche in the face. But I'm excited to be forced to do high intensity exercise 4 times a week. And hopefully spending that much money on my health will force me to not be lazy, and to not eat my feelings.

Edit to add: I should probably add that it's $850 for the 12 weeks. But if I win i get a free trip to Bali :P I want to win!!

My walk today was no less than 4 miles.  I didn't think I was going to make it, but I gave my myself a destination so I was committed and had no choice because walking was the only way I was getting back home.

Tuesday: Did 20 minutes of yoga
Wednesday: Walked for 30 minutes during break
Today: Probably go swimming, but this depends on how dangerous the river is today

Socialized with friends so had a drink and had pastries and chocolates (not out-of-control amounts).  Back on the wagon tomorrow!

A bit of swimming followed by a lot of soaking in hot springs followed by a bit of swimming.
...followed by a huge slice of carrot cake....hey that was a heavy slice of cake, so it almost counts as weight lifting....

The cottage involved much more eating than exercise. Never zero, but only one strenuous day. I foolishly signed up for a 5k months ago, so I will now resume training. Friend I'm running with has been training for months, but will not mock my slower time

(8/19/17) Leg day today. Had to skip a set of romanian deadlifts because I felt like I was wayy overdoing it. Weights were super light but the last time I did a true "leg day" was 4/13/16 according to my app, so I pretty much have had to start from zero. [65#5x5 Squat; 50#2x8 Romanian Deadlift; 50#3x15 Leg Press; 50#3x15 Calf Press.]

Walked to do an errand (2.4km) plus a bunch around the mall (no idea, DH drowned my pedometer that I hadn't used in years so I don't know how far that was).

Had a beer tonight.  It was date night.  Having a drink together while dressed up was nice.

Walked about 5 k today. Last night I did manage to run/walk 5k. Today, I have learned that running uses your abs, because they hurt. Legs etc. are all fine. But the abs... I suppose they will increase in tone over the next 3 weeks?
