I don't know the distance, but lots of walking with the stroller for shopping and errands.  I'm a little sore from yesterday's yoga class.

Sixth day without junk food and booze.  I miss it.  I did, though, buy a dress that kind of hooked my interest a while back.  In my regular (the largest they had) size it just fits.  My sense of vanity wants to see how much better it looks when I've lost some weight.

An hour of zumba again, followed by swimming again. I'm boring, but at least I'm doing it. And it was fun!

Mind if I join you all? :)

I was a lifelong-unfit person until my early twenties, when I put some effort into learning to run, then stopped again, then started again, then stopped again (repeat a few times).

I'm currently sort of in moderate shape by my own standards -- I don't have to go back and re-do couch to 5k, but I went to the gym for the first time in over a month on Thursday, and I hadn't been going very regularly before that. I have a mud run in a couple of months so I'm going to try to get off my arse and start going to the gym 4x a week. Treadmill every time, arms strength training 1x a week, legs strength training 1x a week -- that's the plan. At some point I will really have to do some outside running but I'm not looking forward to it :(

Walked for thirtyish minutes with the pram, then did about an hour of gardening.

Just excercised my chat muscles today at a meetup and strolled over the farmer's market.
I'll try to make up tomorrow ;)

We hiked down the mountain on a trail to get to the entrance of the Japanese Garden, then back up part of the mountain to get into the Japanese Garden, then all around the garden, then back down, then around the Rose Garden. I was tired last night!

Yesterday: thirtyish minutes of walking with the pram. And baby. It's clear that the baby comes too when I walk "with the pram", right?

Today: we forgot to pick up a prescription for abovementioned baby on the weekend, so if the weather stays clear that's my excuse for a > one hour round trip to the compounding pharmacy today. I will take the pram and baby.

My Goals for the 18th Week in Ordinary Time

1. 6,000 steps/day (x6)
2. Gym (x2)
3. Fast (x2)
4. Profit! (aka: consume whatever the fuck food I feel like* on my birthday weekend**)

*Caveat, still no milk. Turns out there's no magic fairy that makes milk non-poisonous on birthdays. I tried. It failed. Fuckin' slacker fuckin' fairies.

**Caveat, it's a birthDAY. Not a birthWEEK or a birthMONTH. Goddamn fairies failed again.

Went to a mall. About 2 hours walking. Plague symptoms intensified and I went home and took witchy remedies, which seem to help.

This week's goals. Figure out why I feel like death and fix it, possibly by returning to the doctor. Need to be healthy by vacation next week

Yesterday was sedentary but seventh day in a row without junk food and booze.

This morning our whole family walked around the small, local zoo.  In the afternoon we splashed around the pool (I spent quite a while holding cutie #2 as his toddler self is too short to stand in the pool, and we haven't gotten the kids swimming lessons, yet).  I did drink ~40% of a Coke Life (sugar + stevia), but having denied myself much-desired alcohol and having consumed no other junk I'll just consider this day #8.

No?
Didn't think so. But hey, I tried.

Went to the farm yesterday and spent about  an hour and a half walking around and in constant motion since we pick our own vegetables.  Came home exhausted.  Felt good to be outside and in motion.

August 4th - Walked to work 1.75 miles

August 5th - Painted some baseboards and door trim at home, lots of crawling around and climbing up and down ladders. C25K W1D3 - 2.2 miles

August 6th - Walked 3 miles with my very energetic pittie. When we got home, I grabbed my senior lab and took them both out for another mile. My lab is 11 and is starting to have hip issues so he can't go as far as he did when he was younger. I have to wear down the pittie first or I can't handle walking both of them at the same time.
Later, I spent a couple hours trimming trees and carrying branches to the road.

Completely redesigned an online class while sitting upright. The only part of me that got exercise was my mouse hand. Ten and a half hours, one chair. Oh, I also walked to the kitchen and the bathroom some.

Oy, Rural! Such a strong and flexible mouse hand, though, good job!

I ran like a frightened bear through the alleys, and walked for an additional 120ish minutes.

Of course, Happier!

Jooni, stay out of alleys!  :o

I went to zumba. I didn't want to as I had a tummy ache. But I did it anyway. (This was a very non-Freckles like demonstration of dedication. I think I deserve chocolate.)

Wow.  Would definitely love a snuggle baby, a couch, and dark chocolate!

3 mile walk.  Discovered the IPhone has an activity tracker (was listening to a podcast and the guy said 'all smart phones automatically record your activity' and I was like, 'wait - what?'  So I checked DW's IPhone and it had an app on it called 'Health'.   Turns out Internet Rock is the equivalent of 11 flights of stairs.

Reminded me I have amazing tech in my pocket that I use mostly as a watch.  And to play Sudoku.

Hiked in the woods with the dogs for a while, and hiked around Walmart buying food and a Dremel fitting. Mostly I sat and wrote syllabuses (syllabi?), though.

I went to the gym, and it was one of those transformative workouts. When everything that was a hard slog just last week suddenly feels easy. Yay for actually building muscle mass.

Irritatingly, I still have 2k steps to accumulate, despite the gym. Clearly my ass muscles got a good flattening today.

Walked the 2.4km/1.5 miles to the splash pad so DS could avoid the sprinklers but toddle around crowing that he had found A STICK AND A ROCK.  A rock!  He's pretty cute.  👶

Day 10 no booze or junk food.  I will definitely be breaking the streak tomorrow or Thu, then re-starting after the weekend.  I haven't lost more than what could be considered normal weight fluctuations but I'm noticeably less puffy (to me, anyhow).

Okits - Day 10 rocks!  Good job!

Sam - nice!  I, for some reason, felt like I was walking through quicksand while hiking to Internet Rock this morning.  Which is weird - I am always breathing heavily but not  uncomfortable.  Today I was considering taking a nap on the forest floor.

Rural - sounds productive and lovely!

Freckles - excellent plan, and thanks!

Yesterday was 2 20 minute walks and one 10 minute walk.

Back to daily yoga today, and a 2 walk runs a week goal. I also want to do a recreational bike ride as I have to check if I'm well enough to bike commute. Overall I woke up today feeling not sick.

August 7 - Rained all day so no walking to work :(

August 8 - walked to and from work 3.5 miles.
C25K W2D1 2.24 miles

Not too sure if I'm going to stick with the C25k. Once upon a time I ran several days a week, but these days it's hurting my knees and I don't want to seriously injure myself. It could be that I need to lose a bit more weight before starting...or it could just be that I'm getting old. Maybe I'll trade running for hiking.

What in the hell is a lurgy?

I repeatedly lifted my primary eating hand to my primary eating orifice today. That's the sum total of my exercise. Plus some pushups, I guess. Oh! And I jogged. But mostly I ate. Hamburgers.

Don't forget to count the sit-up you did to get out of bed.

7-minute workout in the mornings, going on month 2.
Plus I do the stairs at work (I can count that!), but since I am only on the second floor it's not that much.  Does the 3-5 trips to the coffee pot at work count?

Still can't find anything extra that fits into my schedule for the evenings.  Stupid unsafe neighborhood.

Can you workout to a DVD in your living room?

My knee started hurting last night. I don't know why; I don't remember doing something to it. Today is a zumba day, but I'm nervous. Not sure if hurting my knee further by going to zumba class is something to genuinely be concerned about or if I'm happy to grab on to any excuse not to exercise. I know myself, so this is a very real possibility. But also, ouch.

The lurgy is in retreat. I walked to the shops yesterday - a short walk (usually we take a round about route to make it an hour walk) so it was 30 minutes. I had enough.

Walked DS in the stroller to a farther park today, 4km (2.5 miles) RT.  My legs/feet are tired, which is odd, because it's not that much farther.

Had junk food and booze today.  Have a bunch of celebrations these next few days, back on the wagon Monday.

Walked to the other supermarket and admired the new bus stop they built especially for me. IT IS AMAZING. A new car park with 6 enormous lights. A new path, with stone walls on both sides from the car park to the bus stop (and two big lights). New pedestrian lights. Big shelters for waiting passengers. And a huge concrete pad for the awaiting masses. Massive landscaping. No wonder the roadworks have been going on for months!

Went for a walk in the Bruneau Sand Dunes, but had give up, once the path got less shady. Man, that sand is HOT!
All in all probably only 20 min, followed by only 10 min of Yoga. I hate it when I am a quitter, but sometimes I am.

Almost every single day I walk about my little town for at least 20-90 minutes. I'm starting to think of it as counterproductive, though, because every day they are handing out treats!

I walked 3211 steps today
The previous 2 days I made 4k steps.
