Despite my utter lack of progress for the last three months, sign me up for 7!  I really want to hit that 25 BMI mark.

Alright, this month I have some determination!

Starting the " 10 Day Detox Diet" by Mark Hyman together with my husband tomorrow, which will be to loose by metabolic balance. We have each post ~15 kg with that 7 years ago, or which I managed to gain 9 back, 6 of them after surgery last winter.

Goal is to loose 12 kg total, at least 6 kg this month!

Thank you for the challenge

I知 in for 4 pounds again.

Garden is exploding with veggies right now and there痴 no room left in the freezer to freeze any of them. I知 hoping my aversion to food wastage works in my favour this month as I fill up on veggies and avoid treats or heavy carb foods.

I'll jump in, need the motivation to keep making progress.

I started July at 190.3 and finished at 181, that's a loss of 9.3 pounds, so lets do that again in August.

This morning I weighed in at 179.8 (First time back in the 170's in about 10 years!) so my August 31st goal is 170.5, final target is between 160-165.

Doing P90X this month too.

Put me down for, oh what the hell, 10 pounds. I'm pretty sure if I eat smart and exercise consistently that'll be a piece of cake since I'm around 213ish now.

I'm excited to announce that I'm finally down to the weight I maintained for two weeks before the ill-fated happy hour of 7/24/2018. How this is even possible I can't fathom.

Now the bad news is I've agreed to dinner tonight with a friend that only comes to town every 1-2 years. Highly recommended prix fixe place. I'm gonna pay for it so I'm gonna eat it. Drat.

178.2 this morning, down 1.6 in 4 days, so averaging .4 per day, 7.7 pounds to go to reach my goal of -9.3 in August.

Intermittent fasting is working out well for me, despite the afternoon hunger/cravings starting to increase.

Oh no!  Are there any healthy options available at all? Best of luck to you.  I don't know how I could manage to lose weight under those circumstances. Maybe....soylent? But that's pretty repulsive. Desperate times call for desperate measures?

But Sam is stuck on a ship and can't. Options are very limited. That's the problem.

To be fair, the ship IS tied up to the pier. Fuck are available for use, and I'm capable of making it to a grocery store. It's more difficult for me than for John Q. Landlubber, but only because my access to transportation is currently limited. The lack of refridgeration is also a bummer, but not unpossible to overcome.

I think I am participating. Going for a loss of 4 lb, from 163 to 159. As of this morning I am at 161, but I notice my weight fluctuates 2lb above and below on a daily basis. My goal is to be consistently under 160 by the end of the month. I am following the faddish "skip breakfast and sometimes lunch or dinner diet." I observe that for me eating is social, so I am basically not eating when I am by myself except as necessary to consume 1200-1500 calories per day. Other than that no changes. So far I am down about 12 pounds from my June peak.

Lost a total of 2,5 kg by now, keeping going for my goal of at least 6 kg for the month.
Feeling good about feeding myself healthy but my thoughts do often wander to ice cream ( especially in this heat, it's been 37ー C here for weeks), lots of watermelon... and other unhealthy carbs like pasta, white rice...

This forum really helps to keep me going as well as my husband doing this with me ( although it is slightly annoying that he has lost more than 4 kg i during the same time, but he does get a lot more exercise and with this heat and no sir conditioning at work or at home I feel like I have been moving in slow motion)

I've finally lost a tiny bit of weight and managed to keep it off for a week. Only just enough that I don't think it's just a blip. I haven't been doing well with my diet though. I've been averaging about 1500 calories a day for the past week and I know from experience that maintainance for me is about 1600 calories a day. I've been pretty good about following my exercise plan so hopefully I'm putting on some muscle and increasing my basal calorie burn rate.

I don't think I see any differences, but I'm starting to think some of my clothes are looser.

I found a scale, so was able to weigh myself.
Last time I weighed, was at 158--currently at 153.

Would like to work towards 140-45 by end of year, so will aim for 150 by the end of the month.

Bah, no progress, had a big dinner splurge over the weekend that didn't help things. 178.7 today, at least the body fat % is a lower at 23.5% vs 26.4 thanks to getting out on regular hikes/walks.

Down -1.1,  8.2 to go, this is real work!

Haven't had access to a scale, but I feel light/skinny the last few days. Not sure if it means any real weight loss though. The hot weather makes me eat less so that might've helped. On the other hand I've eaten too many unhealthy foods lately so I should improve on that.

Great work @Goinganon !

How is everyone else doing at the halfway point for the month? I'm down 2.5 lbs, which is a little behind schedule, but still in the right direction, so hard to be disappointed with.

I'm not doing very well. In fact I'm up a pound or two... closer to 2. But the same happened in July before I dropped back down to 0 pounds gained, and I'll be content if I can maintain where I am for two months while I deal with other life crap.

I'm just stuck. I'm down about 2 lbs which is more progress than I've made in months, but nothing is budging again. I've been working out almost every morning and getting in a run with the dog at night. Calorie intake has been reasonable but I'm just stuck. I couldn't even finish my dinner last night.  I just have a feeling it's going to take a herculean effort to get me off this plateau.  Tomorrow is a good friend's wedding and my birthday. It's an out of town wedding with a party tonight, wedding tomorrow, brunch on Suday kind of deal. For financial and diet reasons I'm trying to figure out how not to go out to dinner with my friends tonight too on top of everything else, but it doesn't seem possible.

That's really frustrating. Sometimes, temporarily increasing your daily calorie allowance and then putting it back down can get you out of a rut. Good luck!

Sometimes your body needs a break. When I get stuck I sometimes up my calories or skip a workout to reset. Then you pick back up and possibly start seeing results again. There are some points that your body is just happy at too and it takes time to get past them. This is even more true when you don't have much to lose. I'm happy to report that I'm down 2 lbs only 25-30 more to go for me, but I want to take it slow otherwise I'm bound to gain it back. I've been shooting for 5 lbs every month, but just not quite making it. I've told myself as long as I have some sort of progress that I can't worry too much about it.

I am down 3,5 kg, definitely slowed down but hoping to keep going. Slow progress does not help my motivation as much. 2,5 kg to go for my goal of loosing  6 kg this month.
