I'm just stuck. I'm down about 2 lbs which is more progress than I've made in months, but nothing is budging again. I've been working out almost every morning and getting in a run with the dog at night. Calorie intake has been reasonable but I'm just stuck. I couldn't even finish my dinner last night.  I just have a feeling it's going to take a herculean effort to get me off this plateau.  Tomorrow is a good friend's wedding and my birthday. It's an out of town wedding with a party tonight, wedding tomorrow, brunch on Suday kind of deal. For financial and diet reasons I'm trying to figure out how not to go out to dinner with my friends tonight too on top of everything else, but it doesn't seem possible.

That's really frustrating. Sometimes, temporarily increasing your daily calorie allowance and then putting it back down can get you out of a rut. Good luck!

I lost 8.6 lb in July, put me down for 8 lbs. Starting weight 136.8, goal 128.8
One week in, 134.6, on track! I have a wedding tonight, hopefully it won't mess me up too much

133 today, so hopefully I'm on track to meet or beat my goal

Sometimes your body needs a break. When I get stuck I sometimes up my calories or skip a workout to reset. Then you pick back up and possibly start seeing results again. There are some points that your body is just happy at too and it takes time to get past them. This is even more true when you don't have much to lose. I'm happy to report that I'm down 2 lbs only 25-30 more to go for me, but I want to take it slow otherwise I'm bound to gain it back. I've been shooting for 5 lbs every month, but just not quite making it. I've told myself as long as I have some sort of progress that I can't worry too much about it.

I am down 3,5 kg, definitely slowed down but hoping to keep going. Slow progress does not help my motivation as much. 2,5 kg to go for my goal of loosing  6 kg this month.

I already felt like it but it got confirmed on the scale last weekend; 4 lbs gone! That means I've overachieved this month :)

This morning showed 149, but last week was showing back up to 155---so I'm a bit confounded.
Will check again for the next few days and see what it going on :)

It could be as simple as something that you ate yesterday. I had a delicious but salty soup last week and weighed 5 pounds more the next day due to water retention. Hopefully those pounds pee away!

Funny--I guess that was what it was @Sun Hat
next time I weighed I was again at 149, then yesterday 148 but I do understand there will be fluctuations.

I survived the weekend without gaining, so here's hoping the extra calorie bump will propel me towards some loss now! I'm going to have to lose precipitously in order to meet my goal for the month.

I just started back at trying to lose some weight. My goal is to lose 9.5 lbs by Labor Day. It would be amazing to do that by the end of August. As of today, I知 down 2 lbs. Only 7.5 left to go this month!

I知 down another 1.2 lbs! I知 nearly a third of the way to my goal for the month.

So far, I'm down a total of 6 lbs.  3.5 left to lose this month.

With just about one week left in August, I致e lost a total of 7.5 lbs. I have about 2 lbs to go.

As of this morning I am 3.5 lbs above my no-longer-officially-overweight BMI. I suppose it is theoretically possible that I could do it within a week, but that seems pretty unlikely to me.

@neophyte Congratulations on beating your plateau! You're making great progress, no need to rush to meet a self-imposed deadline of the end of the month.

For myself, now that I don't think that I stand out for being unusually fat, I'm having a hard time sticking to my healthy eating. I've still got about 10 lbs to go to get to my goal, but have regained about 2 lbs lost early in the month, putting me down only 1.5 lbs so far this month. I'll work on losing 1lb in the next 6 days, but I can tell that maintenance will be tough.

Count me in.  I'm aiming for 2.1 kilograms.  Currently 97.1 kg.  Goal 95 kg.

97.4 this morning.  Whoops.  Wrong way.

Better get a bit more discipline.

97.1 this morning.  At least I'm back where I started.  :/

95.8 this morning.  Only 0.8 to go!  I'm optimistic I should make it.

It's the end of the month, so how have y'all done?

I'm down 4.5 lbs for the month, which I'm quite happy with. I've rewarded myself with new pants from the thrift store, and by unboxing some of my athletic wear that I hadn't been able to fit into for the past few years. (While I may "fit" into the tiny running shorts that I wore in my 20s, I'm not sure that I'll actually wear them again. Things have shifted....)

Haha. Still trying for a few more hours. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning! It'll probably make a big difference.

Congrats on your progress you're doing great! New/old clothes are a great feeling aren't they?

I ended up at 96.3 kgs.  That's a drop of 0.8 kg in total.  Lots of ups and downs, but it was worth trying. Aim is for under 95 by end of September.

I found a scale, so was able to weigh myself.
Last time I weighed, was at 158--currently at 153.

Would like to work towards 140-45 by end of year, so will aim for 150 by the end of the month.

This morning showed 149, but last week was showing back up to 155---so I'm a bit confounded.
Will check again for the next few days and see what it going on :)

End of the month 148/149

I'm at 164 for a loss of 3 out of my goal of 7.  Four lbs above my normal bmi cutoff and 24 above goal.

I guess I should be happy cause it's more progress than I've made in a long time, but I'm not.

A friend and I made a bet to lose 5 kilos by the end of September of which I'm now down 1.8. I'll have to lose 7 lbs in September to hit that goal.

Great job everyone!

A special shout out to @Sailor Sam for losing enough weight to satisfy the USCG! I have misty-eyed memories of a job that probably wasn't even as cool as Sam's, so I'm delighted that Sam gets to continue to sail!

I really like how the accountability and moral support of the forum helps to keep me on track. Thanks a ton! (Pun always intended)

Started at 122.8 and it would be AMAZEBALLS to get to 120.

Thanks for the encouragement and thread @Sun Hat

Ended August at 119.0 so achievement unlocked!

My ultimate goal is 118 so expecting to hit that in September and then go into conditioning and maintenance mode.  Hope everyone continues to work towards their goals!

I should have waited until today to post. I知 down 10.6 lbs. I had been on a plateau for the past week so I知 not particularly surprised to have lost that much overnight (although I am very, very happy about it!).

Lost 4,7 kg and am very happy with that. My goal was 6 kg, so I didn't get that but will keep going. Congratulations everyone, to our healthier selves!

Went up 3 the first 3 weeks, then down 5 the lastweek for a total of -2.

Thrilled to be past the plateau, but baked cookies yesterday so we shall see how first half of Sept goes!
