I haven't done very well with goals the rest of the year so far, but my normal habits have been disrupted so much by having my kids home and WFH 2 days a week that I may as well make some new goals to give myself some accountability.  Maybe :)

1.  Increase my "average sleep" time (per my Fitbit) to > 7 hrs.  I'm sitting at about 6 hrs 40 minutes right now.
2.  Start exercising again, preferably 2-4 times a week.  At least 1 lifting session/kb swing set, and 1 long walk with the kids.
3.  Fix our grocery budget!  We bought too much frozen food last month, lol.
4.  No more MMM forum/FB/insta during work hours when WFH (after this time...)
5.  Sweep the kitchen every night, the main level every other day
6.  Finish 3 of my pending mending projects
7.  Get 8.5k steps/day

Thanks for keeping up this thread Raena:).

Money
1. Savings - $2100 in April - done!

Garden
2. Finish seeding and planting by April 15. Label everything. Need to start seeding the last batch of veggies then move on to flowers.
Finish cleaning up before the end of this month - in progress.
Finish borders, pathways, garden projects by the end of next week - in progress.
Get help with weeding and watering.

Keep reading my new garden books and keep a garden journal with pictures and records of plantings/seeding success.
Write down design ideas and considerations, note plant failings or successes.

Review the final garden plan for this year and then let it go.:)
Nothing is perfect and a garden is never really finished:).
Make time to enjoy the gazebo - alfresco dining, bbq and running the fountain or watching the birds splash in their birdbath.
Buy those two butterfly-attracting bushes this week and plant them.

Home
3. Spring clean thoroughly - kitchen and bath this week and start on study next week.
Revamp carport, set up a virus decontamination station - this week!

Declutter
4. Still working on the paper tiger - sigh - I gotta get with the program.
I really want to get income tax done by the end of the month!

Project
5. Update password list and bank - important paper information.
Write a last letter to my son and place it with the emergency/death folder.

Look into making a few face masks - in progress. DIL will be fun to plan with.

Week 1 Update!  Usually I do Friday updates, but only 2-3 days didn't seem worth reviewing.

 - 4/4, very good so far.
2. Meditate daily - 10 min per day, target 25/30 days. (Last month 24/31)
 - 4/4, going well.
3. Exercise - take a walk or exercise every day. Target 20/30 days. (Last month 15/31)
 - 4/4, spent time outside every day so far.
4. Clutter - keep surfaces uncluttered, target clean surfaces 25/30 days. (Last month 29/31)
 - 4/4, all that time at home is making me clean.
5. Reading - Read 4 books, including 1 philosophy book.
 - 2/4, very close to finishing the philosophy book.
6. Try something difficult - target 4 new things (Last month 5/4)
 - 1/4, on track
7. Garden - Build 1 garden bed and plant first plantings
 - First of 2 beds built, beet and chard seeds in the ground.  Goal for next week is to build the second bed and plant the strawberries.

New for April:
8. Gratitude - Focus on gratitude, target 3/week (12/31 days)
 - 3/4, I think it's helping.
9. Cut people slack, including self

10. Validate people's feelings
 - I think it's going well, a bit hard to tell if it's working.

7.  Get 8.5k steps/day

Update
1. Average sleep time is still crap.  I psych myself out on the days before I have to wake up early and end up reading WAY too late.  I need to start setting a timer and actually listening to it.
2. I decided to start doing yoga.  I've been having a lot of upper back pain and tension/stress headaches, and even the two days of ~15 minutes of upper back focused yoga have made me feel much better.  That seems more important than increasing my deadlift, if it's one or the other.
3. I'm trying to start actually planning again.  I'm only getting pickup, though, so it's tough to know what will actually be in stock.
4. Only one WFH day so far, went pretty well.
5. I think I swept 5 of the last 7 days, and swept the whole main floor twice.  Not terrible.
6. No progress on mending.  Debating sewing masks...
7. Step goal is going pretty well!  6/7 days over 8k.

April Goals:

1. NOT get COVID-19.
2. Set myself up to sleep better. - In bed by 9pm Sunday-Thursday. No sugary or spicy meals after 7pm.
3. Exercise a minimum of 3 total hours a week. - I have a treadmill and free weights in my house so this shouldn't be an issue.
4. Throw at least $4k minimum into the emergency fund. - Very doable with the extra check this month.
5. Clean out and organize the man cave closet. - Trash what is worthless. Make a donate pile. Photograph everything I want to sell, which is a lot (eBay).

Anything else is just a bonus.

Can I join, even though I'm more than a week late? I have my goals in Trello but I need to be a bit more official w/them.

For April:
1. Do the taxes. Don't expect it will be too difficult or take too much time, I will try to do them this week. Official deadline is May 4th but I just want to get it done.
2. Remove stack of papers on living room floor. This is horribel and it has been there for some time now. My plan is to sort it somewhat, action some of them (and toss trash...), and then move the papers that need more attention from there to a drawer where I have space for them and can process when I have more energy.
3. Remove another stack of papers from the floor in another room. Same plan as no 2.
4. Clean up in the evenings. I normally do this, but lately not all evenings. Want to be consistent.
5. Strength training at home twice a week.
6. Create a nice egg hunt for my kids. Will take place on Saturday, Apr 11th.
7. Once more listen to the KonMari book, work on my goal, and go through clothes. Possibly also books.

2) Achieve next mortgage milestone
3) Reduce/eliminate food waste, and use up our huge freezer/fridge/pantry stash
4) Figure out how to do video calls with my husband's family
5) Read one non- fiction book
6) Lose 3 lbs
7) Plan a fun activity for Easter

Welcome to all the new entries, happy to have you!

My week 2 update, back on schedule.

1. Better sleep - maintain bedtime routine, hit lights-out target at least 26/30 days. (Last month 25/31)
 - 9/9, still going strong.
2. Meditate daily - 10 min per day, target 25/30 days. (Last month 24/31)
 - 8/9, pretty good.
3. Exercise - take a walk or exercise every day. Target 20/30 days. (Last month 15/31)
 - 7/9, slipped this week with the bad weather.
4. Clutter - keep surfaces uncluttered, target clean surfaces 25/30 days. (Last month 29/31)
 - 5/9, kinda burning out, I need to find a better way.
5. Reading - Read 4 books, including 1 philosophy book.
 - 4/4, done and done!
6. Try something difficult - target 4 new things (Last month 5/4)
 - 2/4, on track
7. Garden - Build 1 garden bed and plant first plantings
 - Built remaining 2 beds, for a total of 4.  Strawberry plants arrived today, I'll plant out today or tomorrow and put mesh or netting over the beds to deter the wildlife.  Pretty sure it's a cat that's been digging in the dirt the last few nights.

New for April:
8. Gratitude - Focus on gratitude, target 3/week (12/31 days)
 - 5/9, pretty good.
9. Cut people slack, including self
 - Needed this a lot this week, so good I guess?
10. Validate people's feelings
 - Going well, hard to quantify

1. Do the taxes. Don't expect it will be too difficult or take too much time, I will try to do them this week. Official deadline is May 4th but I just want to get it done.
Done! It was so easy and quick! Happy to not wait any longer.
2. Remove stack of papers on living room floor. This is horrible and it has been there for some time now. My plan is to sort it somewhat, action some of them (and toss trash...), and then move the papers that need more attention from there to a drawer where I have space for them and can process when I have more energy.  Started, but still way to go. No more will fit in the drawer... (see item no 3)
3. Remove another stack of papers from the floor in another room. Same plan as no 2. I have moved around some things, which led to an empty drawer, that I have filled w/paper "to be sorted". Yes it still needs taking care of, but this part is done.
4. Clean up in the evenings. I normally do this, but lately not all evenings. Want to be consistent. Not really yet, but some done.
5. Strength training at home twice a week. Nothing yet, soon it is mid-month, and I want o do at least 8 in April.
6. Create a nice egg hunt for my kids. Will take place on Saturday, Apr 11th. DH and I did this together, and it turned out v.nice, even though we did a low-key variant.
7. Once more listen to the KonMari book, work on my goal, and go through clothes. Possibly also books. Nothing yet.

10-day update

Rollover items from Feb (a bit embarassing):
  • Finish current book In progress/on track-made some more progress
  • Recover cat scratch post DONE

  • flossing: 26/30 6/10 days
  • physical therapy: 28/30 7/10 days

I am soooooo tempted to add another goal now that the cat scratch post is done, but it would be distracting from the book, so I'll hold off.

Week 3 update:

1. Better sleep - maintain bedtime routine, hit lights-out target at least 26/30 days. (Last month 25/31)
 - 15/16, very good.  Unfortunately it's been because I've been very tired this week and often went to bed early.
2. Meditate daily - 10 min per day, target 25/30 days. (Last month 24/31)
 - 12/16, missed a few this week.
3. Exercise - take a walk or exercise every day. Target 20/30 days. (Last month 15/31)
 - 12/16, pretty good week but did miss twice.
4. Clutter - keep surfaces uncluttered, target clean surfaces 25/30 days. (Last month 29/31)
 - 9/16, not too bad this week, but probably not good enough to hit the monthly target.
5. Reading - Read 4 books, including 1 philosophy book.
 - 8/4, done and done!
6. Try something difficult - target 4 new things (Last month 5/4)
 - 4/4, done
7. Garden - Build 1 garden bed and plant first plantings
 - Strawberries are planted, and covered with a screen temporarily until the netting arrives.  Revised my assessment, it seems to be a squirrel, not a cat.  Built a bean trellis and planted some pole beans.

New for April:
8. Gratitude - Focus on gratitude, target 3/week (12/31 days)
 - 11/16 pretty improving.
9. Cut people slack, including self
 - I'm getting better at remembering, it's popping into my head more often without conscious direction.
10. Validate people's feelings
 - Still going well, still hard to quantify

15-day update

Rollover items from Feb (a bit embarassing):
  • Finish current book exercise 24/33 finally figured out how to quantify this!
  • Recover cat scratch post DONE

New for April
  • hydration goal: 26/30 days 13/16 days
  • flossing: 26/30 10/16 days
  • physical therapy: 28/30 11/16 days really hitting my stride on these exercises
  • outdoor activity: 15/30 10/15 days

In addition, I've had 4 days where I've hit all 4 April goals.  Nice.

There is now no way for me to reach the flossing and PT goals, but now I'll just see how close I can get, and adjust for next month.

Is it too late to join in and set some goals for myself this month?? We started off April here with aftershocks from a major earthquake, combined with WFH and quarantine I wasn't in the right headspace to think about setting goals... Finally getting back into a routine!

Remainder of April goals:
  • 1 hour outside every day
  • 10 minutes meditation every day
  • No Twitter during work hours
-- I keep complaining about not being able to focus, but the reason is no mystery
  • 1 drink max per work night
  • 10 minutes of playing with dog every day
  • 30 minutes of reading every day

Here's how I'm doing, with a little over a week to go:

1) Continue positive 5 daily tasks, to keep myself positive during the quarantine (working out, meditate, journal, list 1 ebay item & 1 house hold or yard chore) - yes. I've done all of these every day, and about a 90% rate on the meditation.
2) Achieve next mortgage milestone - yes.
3) Reduce/eliminate food waste, and use up our huge freezer/fridge/pantry stash - doing well on eliminating waste. Husband keeps buying more food. It's fine, but we can't always find what we want, so he's in a bit of a panic.
4) Figure out how to do video calls with my husband's family - YES! Finally. This took months to sort out. And, we had a call last weekend. It was amazing.
5) Read one non- fiction book - reading Michelle Obama's book
6) Lose 3 lbs - I've lost 1 lb, so 2 sounds more realistic
7) Plan a fun activity for Easter - it was a nice & relaxing day. We did an egg hunt, drank mimosas, and made hot cross buns

Bit late week 4 update:

1. Better sleep - maintain bedtime routine, hit lights-out target at least 26/30 days. (Last month 25/31)
 - 23/25, very good.
2. Meditate daily - 10 min per day, target 25/30 days. (Last month 24/31)
 - 15/25, very bad week.  Turns out it's really hard to meditate with poison ivy...
3. Exercise - take a walk or exercise every day. Target 20/30 days. (Last month 15/31)
 - 16/25, also related to poison ivy and bad weather
4. Clutter - keep surfaces uncluttered, target clean surfaces 25/30 days. (Last month 29/31)

For April:
1. Do the taxes.
This part is done, all in a designated drawer, to be sorted later.
4. Clean up in the evenings. I normally do this, but lately not all evenings. Want to be consistent. Not really yet, but some done.
5. Strength training at home twice a week. I want to do at least 8 in April. I have done 7 so far, so should be doable.
6. Create a nice egg hunt for my kids. DH and I did this together, and it turned out v.nice.
7. Once more listen to the KonMari book, work on my goal, and go through clothes. Possibly also books. Nothing yet.

Update

Update:

1. Average sleep time was 6.5 hrs two weeks ago, 7.5 hours this week.  Our almost 4 year old has been getting up at like 6:30 (/cry) but he just snuggles with us.  I'm not sure I'd call it "sleep" exactly, but I guess I'm still in bed with my eyes closed...
2. I've done yoga all but two days for the last 2.5 weeks, and it's been amazing.  It has helped a lot with my shoulder tension and headaches.  I was trying to meditate this year, and I never got into it very well, but I think yoga is what I need for that "mind clearing" effect.  I also lifted weights yesterday for the first time in a month and a half.
3. Stayed within grocery budget this month, but possibly only because we accidentally got someone else's groceries once for pickup :(  I called and talked to someone, but they're so busy nothing ever happened and we kept them.
4. Terrible, but I think overall I'm doing better every day at focusing on my tasks.
5. Not bad!  Everything is definitely getting swept every other day, minimum, and occasionally the kitchen is every day.
6. Decided not to sew masks, as a coworker made some for everyone in our department.  I did finish 3 mending tasks, though!  Yay!
7. I've had two days each of the last two weeks where I didn't meet my step goal, but on average I was at 8375 and 8900 steps/day.  I'll take it.

Closing out the month with everyone still healthy in our family. So, that's the big win.

I'm also making videos via WhatsApp, to help deal with the time differences.
5) Read one non- fiction book - reading Michelle Obama's book, but didn't finish
6) Lose 3 lbs - I lost 1.5 lbs in April. My fitness was outstanding. My calories were higher than March, which is reflected in the slower weight loss.
7) Plan a fun activity for Easter - it was a nice & relaxing day. We did an egg hunt, drank mimosas, and made hot cross buns

5. Strength training at home twice a week, at least 8 in April. Done! Ended w/really nice/tough once, so sore yesterday and today.
6. Create a nice egg hunt for my kids. DH and I did this together, and it turned out v.nice.

Final update

Rollover items from Feb (a bit embarassing):
  • Finish current book exercise 24/33 finally figured out how to quantify this!
  • Recover cat scratch post DONE

Still stalled on this task.  I've got to find motivation before the libraries open back up! Libraries not opening until June (likely), but I still want to get this off my list!  I solemnly swear that I'll work on it right after this post.

New for April
  • hydration goal: 26/30 days 25/30 days
  • flossing: 26/30 19/30 days
  • physical therapy: 28/30 16/30 days
  • outdoor activity: 15/30 17/30 days

In addition, I've had 9 days where I've hit all 4 April goals, including a 3-day streak.

Hurting my back on the 22nd really threw a wrench into the works, especially doing PT.  Was afraid it was going to hurt, even after the pain was at about 10% of the initial pain.  But I didn't even try!  Disappointed in myself for that.

@philli14 can you break the auto work into two separate tasks?  It might be optimal to do them together from a setup/cleanup perspective, but maybe if it's not such a big chore you can overcome the internal resistance?
