2. Limit computer time to timed breaks
3. Konmari all clothes
 - Tops done
4. Cook down the freezer/fridge/pantry

My 'goals' aren't necessarily goals, more like habits I wish to implement/maintain.

1. Study for 1 hour before work
2. At work: deny all meetings before 10.30AM; I need my fresh morning brain to tackle the most important problems.
3. Must take at least a 20 minute lunch break.
4. After work: bike and/or exercise, shower, cook and eat. In that order. Might be a bit weird but I can't let go of the workday until I've sweated it out and rinsed it off. Also, showering reduces my food cravings, so less chance to F up.
5. After that: log my food for the day, write a bit in my journal, jobhunt. Total 30 minutes tops. After that, free time! Reading, writing, netflix, whatever I want.
6. Half an hour before bed: turn off all screens. Tidy/clean a bit (max 10 minutes but that can make a giant difference!), check next day's calendar, lay out food and clothes for the next day.
7. On the weekends: groceries, errands/chores, exercise in the morning. Afternoons and evenings are free for friends and family, except 1 afternoon or evening which will be blocked for total pampering time: a bath, scented candles, meditation, some good tunes, a crossword puzzle or just playing with the cats. 'Me time' is scheduled in, just like other social responsibilities.

I hope to strike a decent balance between all  personal, social and work-related responsibilities.

I'm being overly ambitious with my goals this month, but that's cause I'm feeling overly ambitious right now.. so let's give it a go!

APRIL GOALS
1. skim coat two bedrooms in my new house
2. paint two bedrooms in my new house (including trim and doors)
3. replace the flooring with engineered hardwood in one bedroom
4. get fencing quotes for privacy fence
5. talk to three new people at annual company meeting
6. three sessions of imperfectionism practice
7. consistently work on online course (2x a week)
8. track spending

DAILY GOALS
- meditate
- exercise
- write
- read
- no snooze in AM
- <1 hour phone usage
- create (do something ACTIVE and produce tangible output, whether art, music, or working on house)
- no sugar
- bullet journal (log exercise, sugar, spending, creations, and phone usage)

Edit: not gonna track daily goals in real time this month as part of the effort to reduce screen time as much as possible. Will post end of month update!

I'm being overly ambitious with my goals this month, but that's cause I'm feeling overly ambitious right now.. so let's give it a go!

You and me both!! I am setting VERY lofty goals, and am trying to make April a very mustachian month, to see how far I can push the limits.

1. Achieve 90% SR. Plan: Less than 650 spend, save 3.5k post-tax, save 2.35k pre-tax (Jan 72%, Feb 75%, Mar 77%)
2. Bike more miles than drive (Feb: 292 driven & 34 biked, Mar: 538 driven & 35 biked)
3. Finish "City 2" in Duolingo French Tree Module (Currently at "Restaurant")
4. Submit monograph for publication (Lots more work to go...)
5. Re-read “The Sport Gene” Loved this book first time around
6. Re-read “Eight Minute Meditation” and review course work on functional breathing (I want to get back to daily meditation with functional breathing, hopefully starting in May)
7. Weight up to 182#. Long term goal of 190# by the end of 2019. This would put me on track

Less computer time.

I have projects that have been in the closet upstairs including a Christmas present that meant to be given las Christmas to made up. So...

1. Cross stitch present started.
2. Organize closet in master bedroom.
3. Go walking 20 mins at lunch 3 times a week.

There 3’s enough. Start small and grow from there.

For people like @Gail2000 and @Raenia, do you work in front of a computer all day? I do. I wish I could get my computer time down (yet here I am typing on my work computer on a Sunday night).

Here are my April goals.

1. Participate in Ultimate Frisbee 3x a week weather permitting. I was a real stickler for my running in March. I'd like to slack off in a fun way with some cross training. The local Frisbee game involves a lot of sprinting, stopping and starting in new directions. This is a great way to cross train and continue to build speed and endurance in preparation for my upcoming marathon.

2. Start the never-ending process of taming the lawn and getting the exterior of the house up to par. Mulching, removing sticks, raking up leaves, trimming some overgrown bushes, and storing away the snowblower all come to mind. God I dread this.

3. Complete two writing projects: an essay on academic integrity and a short story that I've had in my brain for a long time.

4. Practice music 10x and start getting serious about my cousin's wedding. Sell my keyboard on Craigslist and replace with something more portable. I love that keyboard to pieces, but I have a real acoustic piano now and my keyboard is not at all portable.

5. Connect 1-on-1 with someone I haven't seen in awhile but have been missing. This has been the frustrating recurring goal for me.

6. Study 50 hours for the CFA. I took a bunch of April Fridays off, so this is doable.

7. Read a book for pleasure.

Yes, I work in front of a computer all day.  That is why I want to make sure I am not going home and spending my evening on the computer, too.  I can't do anything about the work hours, but I can at least stop spending three hours on youtube when I am home and have other, better things to do!

Alas yes and I find my self scrolling through Facebook and articles that take my time away from projects I know I want done and would derive far more satisfaction. I have become quite the couch potatoe. I am lucky somehow I am not 500lbs.

April will be a slow month work-wise, and I'll also be going away on holiday, so my goals are a little lower than usual.

1. Earn enough so I can still save £1100
2. Go to 3 bootcamp sessions. Do a lot of Pilates videos from my free month at PilatesAnytime (one done already!)
3. Two social things a weekend. This should be easy this month.
4. Get ready for the theoretical driving test and also make progress with driving practice.
5. Write at least two book reviews for Onlinebookclub.

Starting a bit late but still four weeks left in the month!
April is a high energy month for me :)

1) Meditate daily (minimum 10 minutes)
2) Finish four books this month (currently working on two)
3) Visit gym 3-4 times/week, yoga 3 times/week
4) Complete one art project & submit for a show by April 30
5) Secret service (find four acts of kindness to secretly perform)
6) Taxes, get them done asap so I know what I owe vs. what I can save this month

Week 1 update:

1. Meditate after work, at least 10 minutes (same as last month)
 - Missed Monday and Friday, due to having places to be in the evening and having to scramble :(
2. Limit computer time to timed breaks
 - Doing ok, need to do better on weekends especially
3. Konmari all clothes
 - Tops done
 - Top Drawer done (socks/underwear)
 - Pants done
 - Still to go: sweats, shoes, skirts, dresses, coats
4. Cook down the freezer/fridge/pantry
 - Progress, though slower than last month.  Finished off the white bean soup, made a new batch of stock from frozen scraps.
5. Read 4 books
 - 1 down, 3 to go

This is tax season. What was I thinking! One thing i have managed to curb was going on the internet without purpose. I admin a group and coordinate girl guid activities so this gets me on the iPad a bit. I’ll take small victories.

Next month!

1. Achieve 90% SR (650 spend, 5.85k save).
Nailed it! My most important goal this month.. 641 spend, 6307 save makes an SR of 90.77%.
2. Bike more miles than drive[/b]
Barely got it at the end!! 153 miles drive (all on one out of town trip, otherwise didn’t get in my car. 155.7 miles biked, including every single trip to gym, work, groceries, etc. Super happy about this one, and something that I think is becoming a habit.
3. Finish "City 2" in Duolingo French Tree Module
Murdered this goal! Good way to bounce back from dueling pulling a fast one on my last month
4. Submit monograph for publication
Not even close. Pathetic effort by me on this
5. Re-read “The Sport Gene”
Done - great book.
6. Re-read “Eight Minute Meditation” and review course work on functional breathing
Didn’t even start these, going to push it back into May.
7. Weight up to 182#.
182# weigh-in, on track for 190# year-end goal

Overall, very happy. This was meant to be a challenging month for me, and managed to get 5/7 goals. including the one that was the most important to me. Pushing the uncompleted goals into May. Good work everyone!!

I did not so great on my April goals.

1. It wasn't quite 3x per week, but I did a decent job of getting excercise through frisbee...I also joined a volleyball league (it counts!)

2. Did ok here. Exterior of the house is looking ok...through the snowblower has not yet been tended to. Lazy!

3. 80% of the way on the first essay, 0% on the short story. Fail.

4. Some unfocused practicing, no movement on the selling keyboard front. Fail.

5. Had lunch with a friend. Pass.

6. Did get a lot of study hours in for the CFA. I'm feeling pretty confident.

7. Got about 50% through "Happiest Toddler on the Block" but hated it. Fail.

Re: April 2019 Goals

April will be a slow month work-wise, and I'll also be going away on holiday, so my goals are a little lower than usual.

1. Earn enough so I can still save £1100 Turns out April wasn't slow! Saved almost double this.
2. Go to 3 bootcamp sessions. Do a lot of Pilates videos from my free month at PilatesAnytime (one done already!) Didn't do as much as I liked, but still a fair bit.
3. Two social things a weekend. This should be easy this month. Yes
4. Get ready for the theoretical driving test and also make progress with driving practice. Yes, passed the test!
5. Write at least two book reviews for Onlinebookclub. No, gave this up - not really worth the effort at this point.
