2019 self improvement for retirement
« on: December 06, 2018, 12:42:12 PM »
Hi all
2019 will be my first full year not supporting my children.
I am planning on using it as a springboard year for self improvement
The main areas I'm looking to  improve  are my health,  happiness, organisation and home life
I have started using driver diagrams to focus my efforts
I want to maintain a healthy weight, excerise regularly, no medication,  healthy blood sugar, and healthy diet
Happiness is  planning trips, holidays and exploring local areas
Organisation and home life are a combination of slow living and letting go of  belongings and taking time to enjoy family and friends
Savings are all automatic, I want to focus on other aspects that make life worth living
I have 53 months to retirement and want the time until then to be productive and meaningful, not just a countdown.🎆🎆🏆🎀

Very well said.  I have somewhere between 36 and 48 months until retirement and have also been thinking a lot about how to live my best life now while filling the last money bag.  Thanks!!

Month 53 January 2019
Started to play ukulele, learning chords and strumming patterns.

Learning Spanish.

Planning to watch last UK visible solar eclipse, before my retirement.

Alcohol free January, one weekend to go. Might extend this 50 days, for health and cost benefits. Surprisingly I have not really missed this.

Good start to the year

Alcohol is one of those that really can make a difference I have found at least for myself really effects blood sugar and the wallet. Cutting back on that alone is a win-win.
