Coming off a minor back injury. Need a challenge to spice up my mundane, light workouts.
I'm 1 day in! Who's joining me?

I've seen these challenges a few times now. You'll be really sore for the first 2-7 days then you'll get used to the training volume.
What is your goal with this habit? You won't be progressively overloading so past day 5-7 you'll stop inducing muscular hypertrophy (no gains) and just become better at pushup endurance.
If your goal is to get more defined and stronger I'd start with less reps and work up, progressively getting harder. You can also check out different, more difficult, variations too.

Great points/questions. For me, First, I'm looking to knock out a quick and "easy" fitness goal as I come off this injury. Think it'll do me a lot of good to cross a fitness goal off my list as I try to get back in shape.
I'm sure there are better ways to get in shape. Better yet, I'm sure there are better ways to train your upper body. But for me, this is just a way to mix it up and get active. And this isn't the only thing I'm doing each day - I'm also introducing some Yoga and core workouts.

Gotcha. Good luck! Afterwards I suggest you look into some bodyweight exercise variations. I'm trying to follow the Convict Conditioning Program and that culminates in one hand pushups, pullups, squats, handstand pushups etc.

Does it count if you just do 3000 pushups in a day?
