Title: Unrecaptured Section 1250 Gain: California
Post by: niknak on February 17, 2019, 06:41:15 PM
Hello Mustachians,

Summary: Sold primary residence in California in 2018 and moved to Nevada. On my federal Schedule D Line 19 I entered $11k (unrecaptured section 1250 gains), which gets calculated on Line 11 of the Schedule D tax worksheet.

Question: Where do I include unrecaptured Section 1250 gains on my California state taxes? I believe California taxes this as ordinary income, but not sure. If so, I have a feeling the $11k gets added to CA (540NR) column C line 13 as an addition.

Thanks for any help,

Nick

Sorry for so many duplicate threads. The MMM server seemed to be timing out when I tried posting, so I refreshed and tried a few more times. Whoops!
