Taxation of non US investors investing in US market
« on: May 11, 2018, 12:12:46 PM »
Hello everyone.
I am just starting to invest, so I am new to all of this and could you some help. If someone could help me with the taxation issue I was not being able to find.

If a non-US investor doing business in a US market through one of the brokerage houses decides to reinvest his money(compounding), is there any difference in the hight of taxation?

I read that foreign investors are taxed by 30% of the dividend(excluding capital gain), so I would like to know if that can be reduced by reinvesting the money right away.

Also, if anyone knows how much, on average, are those taxes compared to invested assets, referring to percentage points and is that dividend taxed once more in the native country?

Thank You for your help. :)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
