Hey guys,

So I wasn't thinking and was unaware of the wash sale when I did it this but I ended up selling off all of one stock position I held which I also held across three different accounts/providers (Loyal3, Scottrade Robinhood), then I immediately repurchased the same stock (but actually a larger quantity) on Robinhood. I guess I was sort of just thinking I would consolidate everything but didn't think about how this would be considered a wash sale.

Anyway, I received all my 1099's from Scottrade which includes the 1099-B reporting gains/losses and which reflect some of the stock I sold at a loss.

Since this will have been considered a wash sale, do I just not report those losses at all?

Says to report it on form 8949.

Luckily, it doesn't sound like you were actually trying to tax-loss harvest, so you're not really out much other than some additional paperwork.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
