FreeTaxUSA California HSA income
« on: February 09, 2021, 10:28:25 AM »
Does anyone know where to enter your HSA income into freetax USA for your California return?  I entered in the dividend income in Turbotax, but I don't see an option in FreeTaxUSA to enter the information.  I'd like to use FTUSA for my state return since it's significantly cheaper than TurboTax.

PTF... have the same question about credit karma tax. Don't see anywhere to add in (yet) the dividend income and capital gains I've had in my HSA.

I'm not going to get a 1099-DIV or B or any statement from the brokerage so I have to enter it all manually somewhere. Don't know where/how to do it yet (although CK has yet to open up the California section at all, so who knows).

I remember being able to do this on credit karma tax last year. I know I’ve also done it using freetaxusa in the past as well. If I’m remembering right there was an adjustments section where it went. I’m still annoyed that California not only refuses to acknowledge HSAs but also hasn’t setup their online filing system to allow you to adjust for them appropriately online either.
