Question/Problem:
Can any US expats out there that can recommend an expat tax service firm to provide advice on personal finance?
Can anyone recommend on how to evaluate a tax service company?  I’m completely new to this type of tax issue.  Any rationale on how to methodically grade and select an expat tax service company is welcome.

Example of 2 expat tax service firms I’ve reviewed so far:
https://www.taxesforexpats.com/
https://www.greenbacktaxservices.com/

Our background:
My wife and I are moving to Spain in 2 years and will both be Spanish and US citizens.  We will most likely work 20-30 years more until retirement there.  Depending on how we invest, we may end up being taxed by both countries on our investments.  My understanding is that US tax law makes US citizens pay tax on investments regardless of their country of residency.

Key questions we’d like to answer with the tax service:
Should we keep money in roth IRA and take a loan for a 2nd house in Spain?  Or should we take the money out of the roth IRA to pay for the house to minimize the amount required for a mortgage?

How should we continue investing once living and working in Spain?  We want to minimize taxes over time.
•   For example, is it better to buy an apartment or invest in index funds?

A big thanks on any input anyone has!  This a challenging concern to say the least.

These folks seem to know their stuff, you might want to pay them some money and see what they have to say:
