Hi there -

Long time reader, first time poster. Recently moved overseas to the Netherlands and would love to get insight from any others in a similar situation on tax optimization. Obviously taxes are quite high here, so want to make sure I'm doing everything correctly.

Specifically wondering:
1. How you file in the US
2. What deductions you make for tax credit in NL
3. Any tips and tricks you've found you useful

Brief background on my own situation:
- Earning 100% income in NL from a Dutch company
- IRA's & investments remain in the US (would like to keep contributing to these abroad)
- Dutch private pension through work
- Student loan (unfortunately) remains in the US

Thanks in advance!
