Did the IRS get my fax? (2553 form S-Corp)

Is there a method to confirm that the IRS got my fax? I faxed Form 2553 and want to make sure its legible and their received it. Is there a line that can be called?

I only did Part I of the form. Do you know if its closer to 60 days is the norm for them to respond? Or is it generally within a week or so? Is there a number I can call to speak with someone who can say "yay" or "nay" if they received my 2553 form?

My business is on hold until I know the S-Corp is accepted so I can change legal entities on certain platforms. Would be a shame if I wait 60 days only for them to have never gotten my form and/or deny so I must repeat the process.

Otherwise, just start treating yourself as an S Corp now. Setup up payroll, accounting, etc. If for some reason you do not receive acceptance you can file for relief by filing Form 2553 with the first tax return: https://www.irs.gov/businesses/small-businesses-self-employed/late-election-relief

Thanks. I called today. The business rep basically said to wait 60 days and their is nothing she can do to confirm or check if they got my S-Election.

I am trying to update my Amazon legal entity to an S-Corp. They confirm a MATCH with the IRS database. My business is at a standstill until I know the IRS accepted my status and is populated so there will not be complications with Amazon getting a NO MATCH and suspending my account.

I spoke with several people over a two month period who were unable to verify/clarify a thing...but they did tell me to fax the document again with a note on the top stating "Second Request" " Third Request".  I finally received written documentation/confirmation six months after I began the process. I hope that you get a quicker response! Good luck :)
