1099-R Roth IRA Reporting?
« on: January 11, 2023, 04:23:56 PM »
So, I got a 1099-R for a Roth IRA that I took out contributions from (unexpected expenses came together all at once). The amount that was withdrawn is well below the lifetime contributions to the IRA.

Does the info on the 1099-R get reported on my tax return anywhere? I know the amount is not taxed, but does it impact AGI/MAGI in any way?

Thanks!

Look at Form 8606 part III to see if you should report it there.

That's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
