Little savings :) - Big Badassity!!!
« on: June 15, 2015, 08:26:50 AM »
Hello all! Just a few of the great savings I have had in the last little while ...

Barely used play pen for little "o" on kijiji - $20
Barely used jolly jumper on kijiji - $20
Barely used toy box - $5

Stocked up on my favourite yogurt on sale ($1.99 Astro 2% regular) 8 cartons ... which will take them well beyond their expiry date ... but it is yogurt = active culture ... so it does not go bad (Trust me ... have opened yogurt 6 months past due date and it is all good ... be sure to buy only the all natural - no fruit added) tastes great... at first I was a little squeamish to try it lol... but it is actually BETTER the longer you keep it. :)

Selling stuff on kijiji ... mammoth aquarium ... little aquarium ... other odds and sods in hopes to get the debt emergency under control! :)

Good finds! Someday I will be in the market for used kid stuff. Whatever we can't get from friends will be searched for on Kijiji!

I have to dispute the yogurt claim though... I opened some Balkan style Astro yogurt past its date (a week or two) and it stunk! I didn't taste it but I am pretty sure it had become inedible.

Yogurt is delicious eaten frozen - one option for a great yogurt score that I have used before.

We are also pretty lucky that we have great neighbours with little ones ...they have lent us clothes/toys etc ... to be returned (just in case of more little ones lol...)

Cool! Little savings, turned into habits, yield big rewards over the long run.

Minimalist lifestyle is the best. You see after a while that rational decisions are the best!
