So I was playing poker this weekend (happens rarely, no facepunch) and got some lucky hands. Ended up winning a smartwatch new in box with $350 MSRP. Got home and the wife says "Awesome, you didn't open it?" No way, that thing is getting sold immediately!
I'll admit there was a fleeting thought of keeping it but then my logic brain kicked in and said "If you wouldn't buy it, you should sell it". That $250 I can net for selling it is the same as someone handing me $250 cash and what would I do with $250 cash? Invest it!
Another win for logic > emotion

I did similar one time when I won a set of Bose headphones from a contest.
I listed them in our company newsletter and sold them for $100.

poker is no face punch...it can be EV+ if you are a good player.
I've been playing for over 20 years. First handful of years I was what was referred to as a fish.
Over the last 15 years I've fine tuned my game and become a shark at most tables.
I won't give out amount details, but it can be a very lucrative side gig.
