Winter Fatbike Trail Gooming
« on: February 16, 2017, 09:38:59 AM »
In my backyard, there is a public forest where I use to go for MTB in summertime. The singletrack loop is about 5km. This winter, instead of just snowshoeing them as usual, we decided to groom the entire loop. We just pull a homemade grooming devices with harness (remember Muscle Over Motor?) the winter ride is smoother but a bit more "technical" because every time you fall, it's deep snow both side of the trail!

Sounds fun! We have a similar backyard set up. How did you build your home made groomer? Are you able to x-country ski on the trail?

It's just some salvaged pieces of wood wrapped with plastic drain. It's 18" wide x 30" long and I can add weigth if needed. It's not for ski trail but it would be easy to adapt it.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
