DW just resigned from her job. We had some major life tragedies over the past few months, and she got a recent diagnosis of a chronic health condition two months ago. Her job tried to drastically alter her responsibilities with no warning and preparation, and refused to compromise when DW explained why the changes weren't realistic for her to do. We'd planned for her to work for a few more years, but all this pushed us over the edge to have her leave the workforce now. She'll be a SAHM, so she'll still have a lot to keep her busy, but we're both looking forward to our DD being able to spend more time with a parent, instead of 8-9 hours a day at daycare.
We've been grinding for 10 years. NW went from about 30k of debt to our current NW of 650k. Not FI yet, but definitely in a position where we could afford a major life change to put our happiness and health first. Excited to see what comes next!
