Wife's birthday present
« on: May 17, 2014, 02:40:39 PM »
What did my wife want for a birthday present?

LED light bulbs.

Specifically:

Cree 800 lumen bulbs, which Home Depot just cut in price from $12.99 to $9.99
With the $5 off $50 Home Depot coupon
Using the Discover card with 5% cash back on Home Improvement stores.

You hit the jackpot. I'm not a fan of homewreckers, but I would totally steal your wife if I could, though I'm sure you're equally as wonderful in her eyes. :)

It's great to reach a point in your relationship where you truly appreciate the other person, and don't need worldly luxuries to feel loved/cared for.

Oh - good idea! Adding that to my wish list for gifts...

I usually ask for laundry or cleaning products and cooking utensils. My husband likes telling his coworkers and seeing the shocked look on their faces and then telling them "but that's what she ASKED for!" :D

:)  I got mine a 'free' photo book off shuttlefly :)  Well I had to pay shipping but it all came out to $8 all-in.  Took me about 2-3hrs to complete it with all the nice photo and comic book comments.

She LOVED it!

Openly said it was the best gift I've ever giving her... and my past gifts weren't too shabby (or cheap!).

My husband does this too.  His female coworkers always advise him to get me earrings or some other stupid, useless crap.  My tastes run more expensive than the OP's wife's, but at least it's useful stuff, not shiny baubles.

Oh, DW has gotten expensive things on other occasions ;)

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
