I just checked ours. For mid-Dec through mid-Jan, we averaged 32kWh/day for a 3400sqft house (not mustachian, I know). A bunch of that, I'm sure, is the furnace blower (we're in the Chicago area, winter's been tough), although we have gas for the stove, furnace, dryer, and water heater. My computer stays on 24/7, which reminds me that I need to adjust its power settings (two attached computer monitors, too). Most of our frequently-used lights are CFLs, although sometime last month I replaced a bunch of incandescents with CFLs. Over the course of the year we average about 25kWh/day. We've added timers to some bathroom lights that were habitually left on, and lowered the thermostat. I'll be interesting to see how our usage changes over the next couple months as these power-saving measures start hitting our electric bill, and the weather warms up. Come on, Spring!
