We spent only $2k in January
« on: February 24, 2017, 02:38:27 PM »
This $2,000 excludes charitable giving, retirement savings, and mortgage. This is big for us as we look to decrease our spending. Mortgage will be gone by April, woot. Last year we averaged $2,800/month.

Note: we use YNAB to track our spending and generating the reports makes me giddy.

Congratulations!

Once your mortgage is paid off, that's a pretty low FIRE target. Dropping spending by 29% in a year is pretty sharp too.

Thanks guys! I hope we can keep this trend up. I don't know how this compares to others but we only buy what we truly need.

It's just my wife and I with 1 on the way.

Trading a mortage for a baby! Great trade up. Congrats again.
