Title: VTI & Norbert's Gambit (Canada)
Post by: Heckler on November 14, 2016, 08:01:25 PM
Traded my VUN for VTI today, reducing my withholding taxes(0.0154 up to 0.0195 distribution yield) and MER (0.16 down to 0.05), using DLR and DLR.U to buy my USD.

I figure I'll make an additional $28,000 over the next 30 years due to this decision.

This file from Horizon's helped push me over the hump.

The withholding tax will be eliminated only if you hold VTI inside your RRSP.
