Title: Tripled my savings amount!
Post by: Hotstreak on July 22, 2013, 11:37:02 PM
Before I found this site and trimmed up my budget, my monthly retirement & cash savings was about $300/month.  When a big bill came around, savings would go down a bit though, so really I was only saving about 200/month.  I took away a LOT, cable, eating out, long drives/fast driving, dry cleaning, new clothes all the time, new tech, guns, toys, even more I can't hardly remember.  Now that I'm on a better track, I have almost doubled my retirement account transfers, save more cash, and put extra down towards loan repayment, all totaling $900 per month!  I will accomplish as much financially by January 2014 that would have taken me until 2016 at my current rate.  Woot!

(Emphasis added.)

Isn't it funny how so much of it we don't even remember?

Well done!
