Tello $10 per month plan is now 2GB of Data Instead of 1GB
« on: December 04, 2023, 04:35:02 AM »
Just got an email today from Tello.  It's $10 plus fees (state/local etc.), so comes to $12.74 for me.  It comes with unlimited calls and unlimited texts.

USMobile also came out with new plan pricing. $10 per month for 2 GB shared data plus $8 per additional line. Taxes and fees included. I'm paying $18 a month for 2 lines.

They also have a prepay for a year plan, 1 GB data monthly, $6 a month.

$10 taxes/fees included though is very nice. tello is charging me like $13.45 for their "$10" plan.

I wonder how good US Mobile is regarding port out fraud.  Tello.com described their process to me in detail and it's really foolproof, no one can pretend they are me and port my number out.  They told me they have never had a single case of port out fraud.  If US Mobile is as good in that regard, I'll probably switch to it.

You can get unlimited thru visible and have verizon towers for $19

Whats the draw back on this?  Do you not get hotspot ability?  It seems too good to be true.

No draw back. I've had it for months now.

It does not work internationally unless you get their upgrade package. When my $20 for 2 years is up I might switch to USmobile

Everything else is normal.

I have the Tello unlimited talk & text 1 GB plan for $9/month. Mine only comes up to $9.16/month in Ohio after taxes. A cheaper alternative to Mint Mobile if you do not need a lot of data. Also, you just pay for one month at a time. If you know you will need more data in a month, if you change plans and renew one day before the auto-renewal you will keep any existing data. This also works (the day earlier renewal) if you then downgrade back to your current data plan.

Tello used to let you use 2G data if you ran out towards the end of the month but they no longer do that. Now you have to either renew early or buy 1 GB of data for $5 or 3 GB of data for $10 (which still expires at the end of your current monthly billing cycle). Not that great of a deal.

I brought my own phone - I currently use a Moto G Stylus (2020) that I bought in June 2021 for $115.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
