I paid off my student loan this month! It took 3 years of minimum payments and 8 months of funneling all extra money into the loan. Now it's time to pay off my husband's!
This feels fantastic!

Rock it, baby!
I just paid of my loan after an embarrassing length of time (coming into Mustachianism at mid-life), and ooooh it felt so goooooood. I think that's what kicked off me learning to be frugal, oddly enough. It felt so good, I wanted more moments just like it!

Sweet congrats. I've been itching to do this myself, but my interests rates are so low (mostly low 2's) that it doesn't make sense to pay them off early.
What were your interest rates?

Congrats!

Do work! Congrats!

Great!! Congrats :D

You are on a roll!! Woo-hoooo!!
How long do you predict to kill the hub's student debt?
-
Congratulations. My wife and I are in the same boat. She said her loans off 5 days ago with a final payment of $1800. The interest rate was 2.3% but we were tired of looking at it. Similar to your situation, the husband (me) still has student loans. I am looking at paying them off in about 5 years, maybe sooner, depending on how things go.

Great job! Enjoy getting rid of all you other debt as well!
I left my final school loan for years since the payment was low and interest was 2.1%. I had a home with a slightly higher interest rate, so all overpayments went into that loan. Last year, after selling my house and becoming a renter, I decided to just get rid of it. It felt amazing to be debt free.

Paying off loans is BADASS!

Wahoo!! Congratulations!

Congrats, I just sent my final payment this week as well.
Now to tackle the wife's loan, the plan is it will be paid off by this time next year or sooner.
