So far this year, I have bought nothing new

I had a goal this year to buy nothing new (excluding food/toiletries obviously) and so far have succeed.  Came close to buying some new loafers for work as the ones I bought from Aldo for $100 a couple years ago separated at the toe.  A little bit of needle and thread and it has held up for months.  Laptop has exhibited issues lately but am trying to use ipad more to at least hold off on new purchase until next year or perhaps never.

Damn, that's awesome!  I need to do this...maybe it can be my challenge for 2014.  I'm a baby mustachian still, not sure I'm quite ready for no new stuff just yet!  :P

I was pretty proud of myself for purchasing three pairs of khakis at Good Will for about $12 total the other day.

I have one...I bought an Ethernet cable. I had planned all along to return it (I had an Ethernet over power adapter shipping from Amazon which I "bought" by trading in my gaming system). Unfortunately, radio shack did not take it back because it had been uncoiled. $37 to use a cable for a week.

Other than that, no new clothes, no new toys, not even anything used. I have just paid bills and the expenses for my one vacation.
