Hi all,

First post here as i have been lurking since around May of 2015. I just want to thank the blog and especially the forum for helping me to start optimizing my life. Below are the new loan balances and is my only life debt. Hopefully these will be all gone before end of 2016. I am hoping to refinance after the second 8% loan is gone.

Congrats!  Especially with those interest rates.

It's amazing how much higher the interest rates are for those of us who attended post, say, 2003, than pre.  My slightly older friends have 2 and 3% loans. I'm not sure I'd even pay those off.

Thanks all! For the longest time i was just making the monthly payment and finally realized i was getting nowhere. My parents while both retired by 55 are not due to being financially smart but instead due to pensions so they were not a wealth of resources when i was signing up for loans back in 2005-2006.

Great job! At this rate you will be done in no time.
