selling in a boutique
« on: August 12, 2018, 11:15:29 AM »
I've been crocheting cute little fruits and vegetables for years. I sold them at the farmers' market one summer, and give them as baby gifts to friends. The farmers' market was alright because it was hands-on, look at the quality, impulse buy, but also not quite the right shoppers (They're practical people, like me, shopping for their dinner.)
Etsy has been a bust. I could spend as much as I earned paying to have my items "bumped up" in the views.

I've been frustrated and annoyed and stopped crocheting for a year.

Then, last spring, I thought f-that! and applied to be a seller for a high-end boutique called Homespun, modern handmade. They're in the trendy, downtown area, and definitely attract the crowd that would buy my cutesy items. And this is my first weekend on the shelves!

Well done. Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
