Saved $528 today! No more bus pass...

Today I cancelled my bus pass and will be walking to/from work (2 miles one way) = 4 miles/day

A whole new level of Mustachianism to start the new year off right!

Awesome and congrats!  That is a lot of money.  And it just made me realize that we would save ~$900 per year if I could convince my husband to bike to work rather than ride the bus.  We "justify" it because we have one car that we barely drive and I (with our kids) bike a lot…..but that would still be a decent bit of cash to save each year.

Hey, congrats! I did the same last month, after realizing I was spending around $130/month on bus passes - madness! That number should be down to $15-20 from now on. I'm just waiting for someone to ask how much my bike is worth, so I can reply gleefully $1320/year. :P

Thanks NW Girl and moe_rants! You're right, the pass really adds up. When I saw that I decided it was the next step in my MMM journey. I'm on day #2 and it's great.
