Replaced the radiator
« on: February 14, 2017, 08:35:22 PM »
Found out that my radiator was shot and leaking coolant but I was not thrilled with having to spend 500 bucks at a shop so I decided to try replacing it myself.  One hour on YouTube and 70bucks on amazon and I was feeling confident enough to try.  Took 3 hrs to fix, 2 of which was messing around with the stupid plastic clips that hold on the splash guard.  What a sense of accomplishment!  Brakes are next!

Nice! It's a crime how much radiators are at a shop-- check out rockauto.com for parts, too... Have fun!

This is the best brake video I know:

Congrats! The radiator is the weak link on one of our cars. Have had to do this several times.

I wish you many happy miles.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
