Thanks to reading and exploring on this forum, I looked more closely at our car insurance and realized we were carrying collision/comprehensive insurance for very low-value, high-mileage cars. Dropped it and saved $230 per 6 month period.
After reading lots of commentary about peanut butter here (many JIF fans out there, it seems), I read how easy it was to make homemade peanut butter. We tried a 1 lb container of roasted unsalted peanuts from Aldi, a touch of honey and salt, and a drizzle of vegetable oil in the food processor for about 2.5 minutes. My family loves it! My fancy-pants parents are asking me to make batches for them. Cost-wise, it's not as cheap as Aldi's regular peanut butter, but compared to the all-natural, low-sugar brands from other stores, it's about half the cost.
Little wins, but they all add up. I've picked up so many good tips and tricks over the years from reading this forum. Can't wait to make the next discovery!

I drop collision on older cars but keep comp. Why? Glass coverage. I'm fine with paying $45 a year on my 09 Fusion. We lose a windshield (5 cars) on average once every 18 months. I wait until the month inspection is due to replace them. Wife's car got a crack the day after inspection. It'll get fixed in a year. My glass coverage has zero deductible.

Interesting point, Car Jack. Thanks for the suggestion.
