Title: rain jacket warranty return
Post by: SEAK on February 18, 2016, 11:04:48 AM
I've had a couple of several year old Arc'teryx rain jackets with busted zippers sitting in my closet for years. I recently sent the jackets back to Arc'teryx to be repaired. Along with the busted zippers they found that the Goretex had delaminated and therefore the jackets could not be repaired. They sent me two brand new $575 jackets to replace my old jackets. Planning to sell them both on eBay and put the proceeds into my Vanguard account. Now onto returning my broken fly fishing rods with lifetime warranties.

What are you going to wear in the rain?

Good work!  I'm sure I've got some busted high end gear with lifetime warranties (probably why I bought it in the first place!) laying around the basement.  One of my post-FIRE missions is to go through everything and send back what I can in for warranty work.
