Congratulations on the biography! I never heard of Charles Curtis before.
However, I do wonder what your opinion of the article is. It wasn't until partway through that I realized Charles Curtis isn't even buried there. Its a small family cemetery where 14 other members of his family are located. I'm glad the some local people are motivated to clean it up, but what about the dependents decendents of the Curtis family? I'm curious how many of them know their family history or that this cemetery exists.
edited--- stupid typo
When I read the article I was excited to be quoted so prominently, and that the links I sent about anti-lynching and equal rights were used, but then worried as it went on that I'm just some idiot outsider yelling about what's wrong in someone else's town.
Hopefully, it makes a difference.
It appears the last direct descendant of Charles Curtis passed away in 2017.
I'd only heard of him because my great grandfather was named Charles Curtis, and would jokingly refer to the VP as Cousin Charlie.
