Proud Dad of a 27 year old future FIRE member

My son graduated from college about 5 years ago with an Engineering degree and has already saved nearly $200,000. I taught him from a very young age to save as much as you can when you are young. He still drives a 2008 Hyundai that I passed down to him when he went off to college.

Congratulations!

Are you me? My son graduated in 2013 and has a nice nest egg.

The lessons you teach your kids stay with them throughout their lives.

Train them well.  My niece graduates from high school in a couple of months and has two years worth of college expenses saved up and her cna certificate so she can work while she goes to school.
