So no triple digit savings on this one but I still think it deserves a mention. Where I live passport-format photos of yourself are all the rage. You can find yourself needing a passport size self photo for almost every single transaction with any municipal or state issue that needs paperwork. And there are a lot of such issues. The local photograph shops have caught on the vibe and offer to have your passport photo ready in no time.... for 6 USD a piece. In 2014 I used 5, maybe 6 of such photos and so did the Mrs. This should have cost us 60-70 USD just to be able to do paperwork. Instead we bought an A4 photo paper sheet, took a photo of each one of us using standard pc webcam and took them to work, used the almighty Ms Paint for 2 minutes and I printed our face 15 times each in a single A4 photo paper for 20 cents. I know it's not much, but I still felt like kicking the system where it hurts.

Sounds good to me! I wouldn't have had a clue how to do that. (But where I live,  I don't need passport type of photos for anything except passports.)

I did the same when I needed a passport size photo for a transit card for a city I was visiting. Only i was too lazy to take fresh photos of each person so I cropped from photos we already have in the computer :)

What did you do exactly w/ MS paint?

My guess is - he used it to size the pics to what he needed and duplicated the photo as many times as it took to fill up a sheet of photo paper.

A simple enough solution - but badass in the sense that he though out of the box. Most people would just be happy finding a spot where they can get passport photos for a buck less.
