I recently had a few people come out and quote an extension on my back patio. Not a big job, I just want to be able to have my grill there along with a table and 4 chairs. Got quotes ranging from $2000-4000 for prep and concrete pour.
On a recent trip to family's house, I noticed that they had some extra paver stones from their patio off in a corner of the backyard. They said they'd be glad to get rid of them.
Long story short, $36 in prep materials, 5 hours of labor, and I have an extended patio and everything fits nicely.
