Passed the Halfway Point (Student Loans)
« on: August 07, 2014, 11:01:35 AM »
I made an extra payment on my student loans today and realized I only have 49.9% of the original balance left to repay. The original balance was pretty high and I'm still a few years away from having this completely paid off, but this is a huge milestone for me. :)

Congratulations!

I hit this milestone myself earlier this year. Started at $67K... It's great to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Keep grinding.

Awesome! AND you're fighting against a weaker and weaker tide of interest :-) So in that sense, you're even further ahead than it looks!

Congrats! Thanks for the post. It motivated me to check to see where I stand too. I have also just passed the 50% mark! Only $24,898.60 to go! Let's do this!
