I made scrambled baked eggs in the oven today (there are numerous recipes online) using a dozen eggs I bought for .88 cents, some yummy cheese, green onions, and with my fresh garden chives snipped on top. Served with fresh strawberries and english muffins with a few kinds of fancy jam this made a lovely light breakfast for four of us (including houseguests). It was colorful and fresh.
Oh yes, and I served it atop the colorful placemats I just bought for .25 apiece at my thrift.
Breakfast for four cost less than one breakfast at a restaurant.
