On top of my car insurance

Our bill came in, and our rate for one of our vehicles increased by $50/6 months.  Something is up.  Because I have gotten into MMM, I had explored our auto insurance rates, and I spotted this change, and I called my agent to speak about it before just forking over an extra $50 for no good reason.

I am proud of this.  In the past I would have shut up and paid.  Not right now, I want to know exactly what has changed.

My auto insurance also went up for no reason...two cars, two drivers to $964 for 6months. I got online quotes from AARP (Hartford) and GEICO for the same coverage. Both were cheaper, but GEICO was under $500 (darn near half!). I also gave my insurance agent a chance to shop it with other companies, but she couldn't beat GEICO. My insurance agent is one of my closest friends, but money is money!

More to the point its YOUR money.. good for you, pointless being sentimental about this.

Looks like some higher than normal claims over the last couple of years.  Mine, and everyone I've talked to, has been hit with a $50/6mo increase.  Talked to a couple insurance agents about it too.

On the plus side, my motorcycle insurance dropped $35/yr as motorcycle claims are down!  :-)
