OMG!!!! Why didnt I find this site sooner???!!!

Long time reader first time poster here...... :)

I have been a commuter for 2 years and a few months, losing two hours of my day on the road and money out of my pocket, commuter fees and all. Not to mention the fact that I was getting up at 4:30 am........but I digress....... Just last month I paid my car off and if that wasn't enough, just yesterday I moved .8 of a mile from work now I can walk or ride to work in 15mins or less! 

No car payment, no cable, no 2 hour commute = more time and savings.

I'm excited about the changes and looking forward to paying off my debt and FI!!!

I'm in the same position you were in. I wake up early to go to work (to beat morning hour traffic) and stay at starbucks after work to not deal with rush hour traffic at 5ish.

I'm planning to move a few miles from work but I'm still wondering if the increase cost of living close to work is worth the price. I think it will be.
