My 19 year old Toyota truck needed a new set of tyres to pass this years inspection, that is required to renew its registration. Normally this would cost me about 700 US dollars for all 5 tyres. But a friend of mine told me that its possible to buy second hand but unused tyres in the next city over. People buy brand new cars but do not like the tyres that come with them. So they sell them for peanuts to the dealer who sells them the fancy pants set of wheels. I got the new set for 330 US Dollars plus 32 dollars to put them on. Pretty pleased to say the least. And my friend even picked them up for me in his pick up truck as he was going there anyway. Oil change was done at the same time and cheaper than doing it myself.
