My husband found me a bike!

We have been talking off and on about getting bikes but with a young daughter and the weather we keep waffling.  Well my husband called me over because he found a bike I could fit (I am tiny) on freecycle.  Needs some work including a front tire replacement but we can work on it together (he is the better one at this, but I want to learn).  This is encouraging me to move our daughter closer to me, when she turns 18 months and just parking there (and biking to work), but I am not sure yet.

Where do you live?

I biked with my daughter when she was that age and she/we really loved it! I have a seat that mounts between the handlebars and my seat (like this one). Having her in front of me meant that she could see everything and we could talk to one another easily.

We live in a suburb of buffalo, NY.  So basically we have rain or snow most of the year and I work in an high crime area.  I am not comfortable in this area biking with her to work.  Maybe that will change but for now, I am not.
