My husband rode his bike on his own!
« on: October 23, 2014, 05:34:50 AM »
I've been cycling since January and, although I am a bit of a fair weather cyclist, I really enjoy it. It's faster than walking, cheaper than the bus - what's not to like? I persuaded my husband to buy a bike a month ago and we've cycled a few times together, but he's still quite nervous around traffic and I was worried he might give up altogether... until yesterday! He rode his bike ON HIS OWN to get half an hour across town, and is already talking about cycling to a friend's house ON HIS OWN at the weekend.

I don't want to make a massive deal out of it to him in case he gets all embarrassed, but it's a massive deal to me! And yesterday we were talking all about how annoying the local buses are, how stupid pedestrians can be... I am so proud!

Bravo!  I felt the same way the first time the Hub filled his thermos all by himself.  It is great to see the mate develop
