Haha, not 10x!  But if you look in the right column, we went from 38 down to 9 kWh/day!

Haha, not 10x!  But if you look in the right column, we went from 38 down to 9 kWh/day!

I just looked again and we did use only 10% of energy in the on-peak time!

I think I've said on the forum the changes we've made already, but the big ones are:

- Turning our furnace fan from "on" to "auto"
- Switching the dishwasher to the regular cycle no heat dry
- Unplugging the Xbox 360 and PS3 that weren't getting much use
- Put the TV/Computer/Hard drive on a power bar and switch off when not in use
- Being better with the number of lights on at once
- unplugging anything we don't use: the central vac system, the air purifier on our furnace, our chargers when not in use.

We got a whole house energy monitor installed this week, and I'm looking forward to playing around with it and figuring out how many kWh things actually use.
